Canopy is an internationally recognised award winning self-help housing project. We are looking to strengthen our team following the move on of our current Director and the retirement of our Finance Manager. We are also looking for a temporary Volunteer Support Worker to cover maternity leave.
Our unique, Leeds-based project renovates empty properties with volunteers, homeless people and others in housing need, creating good quality affordable homes. We also train people from disadvantaged groups in basic construction skills, create jobs and contribute to the regeneration of inner city neighbourhoods.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and friendly person to manage the organisation. The Director at Canopy takes overall responsibility for the senior management of the organisation, including strategy, finances, fundraising, partnerships, asset acquisition, legal and governance issues. You will also need to make sure that what we do is relevant, productive and makes a positive difference to our tenants and volunteers.
- Salary: £28,721.36 to £30,620.89 pro rata, depending on experience
- Hours: 22.5 per week over 3 days

We are seeking a meticulous, conscientious and friendly person to join the Finance team. The Finance Manager will take responsibility for Canopy’s finances, ensuring that up to date, accurate records of financial transactions are prepared and maintained in accordance with current financial procedures. This will include managing our Book Keeper.
Volunteer Support Worker
- Salary: £21,291.39 a year pro rata
- Hours: 30 hours per week over 4 days
- Contract: 11 month maternity cover
We are looking for an enthusiastic, supportive, people-orientated person to provide support for disadvantaged and vulnerable people. The support will involve helping volunteers to participate in house renovations and access employment and training.
